City of Bartow Recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month With October Proclamation
The City of Bartow recognized October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month during its October 5, 2026, City Commission meeting, honoring those affected by breast cancer and the importance of community awareness and support.
Ashley Lloyd, Executive Director of the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida (BCFCF), participated in the recognition on behalf of the foundation.
The proclamation acknowledges breast cancer survivors, individuals currently facing the disease, their families, and the medical professionals and researchers working to improve outcomes.
For BCFCF, this recognition reinforces the importance of standing alongside local families facing breast cancer and ensuring they have access to meaningful support when they need it most.
We appreciate the City of Bartow for recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month and helping keep this important conversation visible in our community.
