“I learned to find strength in the fight, hope in the healing, and purpose in the journey.”
On April 26, 2018, Michelle’s world changed forever. The words “Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Stage 2B, Triple Negative” echoed through her mind, marking the start of a battle she never anticipated. It was the beginning of countless doctor visits, treatments, and facing fears that seemed insurmountable. But as tough as the journey was, Michelle’s story is one of resilience and hope.
“Was it easy? Absolutely not,” she recalls. “Every day brought new challenges, both physically and emotionally. But through every moment of doubt, I learned to find strength in the fight, hope in the healing, and purpose in the journey.”
Six years later, Michelle stands here, cancer-free, grateful for every second of life she now embraces. But beyond her own survival, she found a greater mission. Through her business, Auburndale Nutrition, she spreads positivity and strength within her community. “We’re more than a nutrition club—we’re a place where people come together, find support, and celebrate life’s victories, big and small.”
Michelle’s journey didn’t break her; it gave her a new vision, a deeper strength, and the opportunity to inspire others. “I’m grateful for the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida (BCFCF) because of all it does for women who have walked the same path as I did,” she shares. “The support and love it brings to the community is truly heartwarming, and I’m honored to give back to such an amazing foundation.”
Reflecting on her toughest moments, she admits, “Facing my children, looking in the mirror after surgery, and shaving my head were some of the hardest parts. And the fear of not knowing what would happen… that was tough.” But Michelle didn’t let fear stop her; instead, she found a way to turn her challenges into strength and purpose.
Her story is a testament to resilience, hope, and the power of community. Today, Michelle continues to be a source of support for others, reminding everyone that even the hardest battles can lead to newfound strength and a brighter future.
